Tiger MD to resign at end of 2012

On the move Tuesday, 07 August 2012 11:04 Written by  Oliver Clark

Tiger Airways is on the hunt for a new managing director after current boss Stewart Adam announced he would be leaving at the end of the year.

The former bmi boss said he was leaving the troubled carrier, which has recorded five consecutive quarter losses, at the end of the year to pursue personal interests.

Adams resigns a little more than a year at the carrier having arrived in January 2011 to replace Rosalynn Tay.

“Stewart joined Tiger Singapore at an important stage in its growth. Since then, he has led his team through one of its most difficult periods, strengthened the airline’s operations and brought it back on track to achieving profitable growth,” said Tiger Group CEO Chin Yau Seng, “I would like to thank Stewart for his dedicated service and contributions to Tiger.”
