The low-cost carrier’s rolling traffic for the 12 months up to July was up by 7.5% from 53.76 million to 57.8 million while load factors increased by 1.6 percentage points to 88.8%.
The figures are very similar to easyJet’s performance last year when the carrier recorded an 8.1% increase in passengers numbers and a 0.8% increase in its monthly load factor.
Last month, the carrier revealed it has increased total revenue per seat by 4.7%, to €72.6, an increase of 4.7%, which it said was down to more targeted capacity allocation onto higher yielding markets, the success of the 'europe by easyJet' campaign and its recently launched mobile application.
Revenue per seat increased 2.8% on a reported basis, due to the significant year on year change in the Euro : sterling exchange rate from 1.14 to 1.20.
