Emirates adds Paris flights

News Tuesday, 06 December 2011 16:24 Written by  Oliver Clark

Emirates has announced it will add an additional five weekly flights from Dubai to Paris by the end of 2012 to deal with passenger demand.

Operating from March 25, the additional B777-300ER services will bring Emirates weekly services to the French capital up to 19 and will compliment its exiasting A380 services.

“Demand to and from France, particularly from business travellers, is such that a third frequency has always been an objective for Emirates, said Salem Obaidalla, senior vice president, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation for Emirates.

“With these additional services, we will help to satisfy that demand, while providing more opportunities for travel between Paris, Dubai and beyond to our network of more than 100 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australasia,” he added.

The expansion comes after France signed an Air Services MoU with the UAE, giving Emirates, Etihad and Air Arabia the right to operate up to 22 flights to France a year.
